About Me

Sara, 30-something, mum of two troublemakers, married to an adorable handyman, motivated, spontaneous, passionate and extremely all over the place.

Four years ago love brought me to Israel. I left my home country of Sweden to start a new life in a very different place. Circumstances lead me to end up in the southern Negev desert.
From waking up with big flakes of snow floating down from the sky outside of a window framed by glimmering frost, I now had to learn to embrace the warm sandy winds and the yellow, beige and brown desert palate. Complete culture shock was accompanied by the extreme life-changing experiences of becoming a mum. I slowly started to fall in love with my new life, the peacefulness of the desert, the deliciously spicy food, my beautiful growing family, and the spontaneity and generosity of the people that surrounded me. Alongside my changing environment, inspiration began to also shape my professional life. With a background in computer engineering and internet marketing, I was now ready to give my left brain a well-deserved vacation and wake up my slumbering creative right hemisphere. Inspired by my childhood, the crisp clean nature of the Swedish north and my love for simplicity and straight-forward design, I started to study the craft of silver-smithing. At long last, I was able to breathe life into the mounting piles of ideas that had been crammed up in my head for so long.

The overwhelmingly positive response towards my jewelry roused me to take my hobby one step further and create my brand. NAKI Design was born. The greatest, most thrilling experience in the world is simply to see your own creations being worn and enjoyed by someone else. It brings a big smile to my face every time.

I love you for wanting to get to know me. Let me know your story too. Maybe I can help you to create a personal something to carry with you to remember... Let me know! I would love to hear.
